Vehicle Architecture

An automobile's architecture is its core, and Geely is laying the groundwork for the creation of the vehicles of the future by creating sophisticated modular vehicle architectures.

CMA

Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) was born at China Euro Vehicle Technology AB (CEVT). More than 2,000 top automotive engineers from 25 countries spent three years devoting to the development of CMA. Since its launch, CMA has won altogether 609 patents, embodying outstanding engineering ingenuity.

Thanks to the five global genes of CMA, which are “safety, health, intelligence, performance and energy-saving”, Geely Auto developed on this architecture and holds a safe lead in quality and performance among their competitors.

BMA

The B-segment Modular Architecture (BMA) is a compact modular architecture independently developed by Geely for global use. It took four years to develop BMA by nearly 100 experts from more than 20 countries who have extensive experience in the development and management of modular architecture projects.

SEA

It took researchers four years to develop the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), with a total investment of over CNY 18 billion, which features a three-in-one layout of the hardware layer, system layer, and ecological layer.

The SEA has the largest bandwidth in the world, covering the design needs of all types of automobiles from segment A to segment E at full sizes; it can provide the most efficient solutions to intelligent electric vehicles and shorten the development period of software-defined vehicles by over 50%.

SPA

The Scalable Premium Architecture (SPA) is the latest result of CEVT. It is a user-focused architecture, combining luxury hardware and leading digital engines. It represents a new generation of advanced architecture for luxury and digital experience, and also a technological carrier to drive Geely towards HEV and intelligence

Innovative Technology

Leishen Power opens Geely Power 4.0 and enters the power technological and electrical era. Geely, with the new Leishen Power, re-doubles the commitment for sustainability and accelerates the realization of full carbon neutrality. The new technology will enable everyone to enjoy an ultimate smart and low-carbon travel experience and receive smarter, more energy-efficient, and more comfortable benefits.

With a maximum torque output of 4920 N•m, the 3-gear hybrid electric drive DHT pro achieves a torque to weight ratio of an astounding 41N•m/kg. Fuel consumption is as low as 3.6L/100km. With a world class 43.32% thermal efficiency supercharged hybrid engine, 3-speed DHT, and immediate e-motor power delivery, it offers a drive experience like no other. It is also the first hybrid platform capable of FOTA improvements on the entire hybrid powertrain system and offers as many as 20 intelligent driving modes.

In the next three years, Leishen Hi·X will provide a variety of power combinations including gasoline-electric hybrids and super-electric hybrids, which will be installed on more than 10 models of the Geely brand.

Hangzhou - China

The research center in Hangzhou is responsible for the research, development, and testing of vehicles and key parts. Together with the other R&D centers, Geely has formed a comprehensive platform to develop, research, and tests new innovations for the auto industry.

Ningbo - China

The R&D center in Ningbo, covering an area of 415 acres, integrates the research and development, test, quality control, supplier collaborative development, and independent R&D capabilities for vehicles, engines, transmission.

Gothenburg - Sweden

The R&D center in Gothenburg focuses on the development and continuous improvement of the modular architecture and components for the next generation cars

Coventry - UK

Founded in 2018, the R&D and design center in Coventry has contributed to the latest innovation in terms of design and functionalities of the new Geely Auto models. The center showcases the commitment to the UK and also shows Britain’s leading position in the areas of creativity and design.
